  I got a sweetheart deal on it from a friend around Christmas time (included the 50mm 1.4 lens). He was upgrading to a 40D for his “knockaround” camera – he has a 1D Mark III for the real stuff. Crazy.

  Still learning about the SLR world and how to work more with the manual functions, but enjoying it.

  Excellent portraits! I just picked up a 50mm lens a few months ago and am starting to play around with it. Mine was the cheapo one, but I’m still pretty impressed with the quality of the photos I get from it. The depth of field is definitely a lot of fun to play with!
